무엇이 그를 몰아갔는가

What Compelled Him?

고린도후서(2 Corinthians) 5:14

 고린도후서(2 Corinthians) 5:14

“그리스도의 사랑이 우리를 강권하시는도다 우리가 생각하건대 한 사람이 모든 사람을 대신하여 죽었은즉 모든 사람이 죽은 것이라”

“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.”

 고린도후서(2 Corinthians) 5:12

“…마음으로 하지 않고 외모로 자랑하는 자들…”

“…those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart.”

 고린도후서(2 Corinthians) 5:13

“우리가 만일 미쳤어도 하나님을 위한 것이요...”

“If we are ‘out of our mind,’ as some say, it is for God…”

 고린도후서(2 Corinthians) 5:14

“그리스도의 사랑이 우리를 강권하시는도다...”

“For Christ’s love compels us…”

 고린도후서(2 Corinthians) 5:14

“…우리가 생각하건대 한 사람이 모든 사람을 대신하여 죽었은즉 모든 사람이 죽은 것이라.”

“…because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.”

(복음의 결론 / The Conclusion of the Gospel)

‘한 분이 모든 사람을 대신하여 죽으셨습니다. 그렇다면 모든 사람이 이 한 분과 함께 죽은 것입니다.’

‘One died for all. Therefore, all died with this one.’

 고린도후서(2 Corinthians) 5:15

“그가 모든 사람을 대신하여 죽으심은 살아 있는 자들로 하여금 다시는 그들 자신을 위하여 살지 않고 오직 그들을 대신하여 죽었다가 다시 살아나신 이를 위하여 살게 하려 함이라.”

“And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.”

 고린도후서(2 Corinthians) 5:16

“그러므로 우리가 이제부터는 어떤 사람도 육신을 따라 알지 아니하노라 비록 우리가 그리스도도 육신을 따라 알았으나 이제부터는 그같이 알지 아니하노라.”

“So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.”

 고린도후서(2 Corinthians) 5:18

“…화목하게 하는 직분…”

“…the ministry of reconciliation…”

 고린도후서(2 Corinthians) 5:20

“그리스도를 대신하여 사신이 되어”

“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors…”

(바울의 대답 / Paul's Answer)

‘그리스도의 사랑이 나를 몰아가기 때문입니다. 나는 이미 결론을 내렸고, 그 결론에서 빠져나갈 다른 길이 없습니다.’

‘Because Christ's love compels me. I have already reached a conclusion, and there is no other way out of it.’
