열왕기하(2 Kings)22:18

18 너희를 보내 여호와께 묻게 한 유다 왕에게는 너희가 이렇게 말하라 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와가 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 네가 들은 말들에 대하여는

Tell the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the LORD, 'This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says concerning the words you heard:

19 내가 이 곳과 그 주민에게 대하여 빈 터가 되고 저주가 되리라 한 말을 네가 듣고 마음이 부드러워져서 여호와 앞 곧 내 앞에서 겸비하여 옷을 찢고 통곡하였으므로 나도 네 말을 들었노라 여호와가 말하였느니라

Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before the LORD when you heard what I have spoken against this place and its people—that they would become a curse and be laid waste—and because you tore your robes and wept in my presence, I also have heard you, declares the LORD.

20 그러므로 보라 내가 너로 너의 조상들에게 돌아가서 평안히 묘실로 들어가게 하리니 내가 이 곳에 내리는 모든 재앙을 네 눈이 보지 못하리라 하셨느니라 하니 사자들이 왕에게 보고하니라

Therefore I will gather you to your ancestors, and you will be buried in peace. Your eyes will not see all the disaster I am going to bring on this place.' So they took her answer back to the king.

1 왕이 보내 유다와 예루살렘의 모든 장로를 자기에게로 모으고

Then the king called together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem.

열왕기하(2 Kings)23:2

2 이에 왕이 여호와의 성전에 올라가매 유다 모든 사람과 예루살렘 주민과 제사장들과 선지자들과 모든 백성이 노소를 막론하고 다 왕과 함께 한지라 왕이 여호와의 성전 안에서 발견한 언약책의 모든 말씀을 읽어 무리의 귀에 들리고

He went up to the temple of the LORD with the people of Judah, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the priests and the prophets—all the people from the least to the greatest. He read in their hearing all the words of the Book of the Covenant, which had been found in the temple of the LORD.

3 왕이 단 위에 서서 여호와 앞에서 언약을 세우되 마음을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 여호와께 순종하고 그의 계명과 법도와 율례를 지켜 이 책에 기록된 이 언약의 말씀을 이루게 하리라 하매 백성이 다 그 언약을 따르기로 하니라

The king stood by the pillar and renewed the covenant in the presence of the LORD—to follow the LORD and keep his commands, statutes and decrees with all his heart and all his soul, thus confirming the words of the covenant written in this book. Then all the people pledged themselves to the covenant.

25 요시야와 같이 마음을 다하며 뜻을 다하며 힘을 다하여 모세의 모든 율법을 따라 여호와께로 돌이킨 왕은 요시야 전에도 없었고 후에도 그와 같은 자가 없었더라

Neither before nor after Josiah was there a king like him who turned to the LORD as he did—with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his strength, in accordance with all the Law of Moses.

26 그러나 여호와께서 유다를 향하여 내리신 그 크게 타오르는 진노를 돌이키지 아니하셨으니 이는 므낫세가 여호와를 격노하게 한 그 모든 격노 때문이라

Nevertheless, the LORD did not turn away from the heat of his fierce anger, which burned against Judah because of all that Manasseh had done to arouse his anger.

열왕기하(2 Kings)22:11

왕이 율법책의 말을 듣자 곧 그의 옷을 찢으니라.

When the king heard the words of the Book of the Law, he tore his robes.

열왕기하(2 Kings)22:19-20

…네가… 겸비하여 옷을 찢고 통곡하였으므로… 내가 너로 너의 조상들에게 돌아가서 평안히 묘실로 들어가게 하리니 내가 이 곳에 내리는 모든 재앙을 네 눈이 보지 못하리라

…because you humbled yourself… and because you tore your robes and wept in my presence… I will gather you to your ancestors, and you will be buried in peace. Your eyes will not see all the disaster I am going to bring on this place.

만일 내가 사는 날에 태평과 진실이 있을진대 어찌 선하지 아니하리요

"The word of the LORD you have spoken is good," Hezekiah replied. For he thought, "Will there not be peace and security in my lifetime?"

요시야 당시에 애굽의 왕 바로 느고가 앗수르 왕을 치고자 하여 유브라데 강으로 올라가므로 요시야 왕이 맞서 나갔더니 애굽 왕이 요시야를 므깃도에서 만났을 때에 죽인지라.

While Josiah was king, Pharaoh Necho king of Egypt went up to the Euphrates River to help the king of Assyria. King Josiah marched out to meet him in battle, but Necho faced him and killed him at Megiddo.

마태복음(Matthew)26:38

…내 마음이 매우 고민하여 죽게 되었으니…

…"My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death."…

…아빠 아버지여, 아버지께는 모든 것이 가능하오니 이 잔을 내게서 옮기시옵소서…

…나의 분노의 큰 잔을 네 손에서 거두어서 네가 다시는 마시지 못하게 하고

…아버지께서 주신 잔을 내가 마시지 아니하겠느냐…

그가 아들이시면서도 받으신 고난으로 순종함을 배워서.

Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered.

빌립보서(Philippians)2:8

…자기를 낮추시고 죽기까지 복종하셨으니 곧 십자가에 죽으심이라.

…he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!

고린도전서(1 Corinthians)15:58

그러므로 내 사랑하는 형제들아, 견실하며 흔들리지 말고 항상 주의 일에 더욱 힘쓰는 자들이 되라 이는 너희 수고가 주 안에서 헛되지 않은 줄 앎이라.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
